# Overview

Diversity and inclusion are important parts of Robins & Morton’s identity, ingrained in our values, goals, and achievements. We believe that engaging people from different backgrounds brings perspectives that enrich our culture, enhance our work, and make us stronger as an organization.

As such, Robins & Morton prioritizes partnerships with small and diverse-owned businesses. Their work strengthens our communities, and these partnerships better the construction industry, producing a continuously evolving workforce, always growing in sophistication.

Because we work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures daily, this section is intended to provide a starting point in identifying individuals and groups as they may relate to government diversity certification classifications. The section is also guided by the [Associated Press Stylebook](https://www.apstylebook.com/), a style and usage guide for American English grammar.

#### Our collaborative culture is based on respect, and we recognize that each individual may have unique preferences for how they choose to identify themselves. Please always use an individual’s preferred identity language.
