# academic degrees

When referring to academic degrees in résumés and bios, adhere to the following guidelines: 

Use an apostrophe and lowercase in paragraph form: 

> bachelor’s degree 

> a master’s 

However, capitalize and drop the possessive when spelling out formally in résumés: 

> Bachelor of Science in Building Construction

❌ **There is no possessive in *****associate degree**.*
